Happy Friday, ya’ll! Congratulations on making it through another week. Today marks two weeks since we began a new workout routine at the gym. After three months, we were ready to change it up. I enjoy the variety change brings, but a new routine always reminds me there is room for improvement.

This week also marked four continuous months of working out at our new gym in Huntersville, North Carolina. It might not seem like a huge accomplishment to you, but it’s sort of a big deal to me. I’ve been working out with my husband for 7 years now. This is the longest span of time I’ve weight lifted without either hurting myself or contracting a lengthy illness.

If you have Celiac Disease, you understand how easy it is for your immune system to be compromised. This is where I encourage you to take a serious look at your diet. We have been on a modern Paleo diet for about one year now. In the past year, we moved two times, traveled, changed jobs and started intensely bodybuilding. I attribute my lack of sickness and strained muscles to my change in diet.

On that note, I’d like to share my most recent snack recipe: Paleo Blueberry Balls.

These healthy treats are antioxidant-rich and are gluten free, dairy free, vegan and paleo friendly! Blueberries are a large part of our bodybuilding diet as they are low in calories, anti-inflammatory and full of nutrients. If you browse my recipe index, you will find several snacks that include this wonderful berry.
