Congratulations! You’ve made it to Wednesday. I’m so happy we are halfway through this week. We are just starting to see signs of fall here in North Carolina. The nights are starting to cool down and days are no longer in the triple digits. I am so ready to say goodbye to August and welcome in September. Only 1 more day…
This past weekend we ushered out the summer with a picnic at our favorite park in Charlotte. The Queen City has a Jazz Festival three times each summer. We happened to catch the last one on Saturday at Freedom Park. The weather was perfect and so was the food!
I packed us enough snacks to last the four hours we would be there. I don’t know about you, but when I’m sitting for any length of time, I get the munchies. My picnic basket included fresh fruit, organic cheese and paleo friendly crackers, and these amazing Honey Lemon Cupcakes.
These cupcakes are perfect all by themselves. Although, our favorite way to eat them is with fresh strawberries and blueberries. Try them out and let me know what you think!
