We are officially two weeks into the 2018 fall season. Everyone in our neighborhood is decorating their homes with pumpkins, mums, lanterns and string lights. The days are getting shorter, the leaves are just starting to change color and we are hoping to experience cooler weather in a few days. Everything about fall makes me want to bake!
Here are my top 5 pumpkin recipes I am enjoying this season:
1. Gluten Free Pumpkin Scones
These gluten free pumpkin scones are the perfect addition to breakfast with a cup of tea or coffee. They are moist, yet flaky. The combination of maple, cinnamon and pumpkin are a sweet, yet not overpowering blend.
2. Paleo Pumpkin Nut Bars
If you are looking for a crowd pleasing dessert or even an afternoon snack, these paleo pumpkin nut bars are the perfect choice. Combine a crunchy cinnamon almond topping and a fudge-like pumpkin base for a grain free, gluten free treat!
3. Gluten Free Pumpkin Brownies
Do you have a hankering for chocolate, but want a healthier option? These gluten free pumpkin brownies might be mistaken for fudge, but that’s just because of the pumpkin puree.
4. Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins
These cute little chocolate chip pumpkin muffins are paleo friendly and packed with flavor. Change out the mini dairy free chocolate chips for walnuts!
5. Paleo Pumpkin Bread
This paleo pumpkin bread is on repeat all year long. The pumpkin flavor is light and the almond yogurt leaves this bread moist for several days.
I’m looking forward to all that this season brings. We have a mountain, leaf-peeping weekend planned and guests visiting from Virginia and New Hampshire this month. What are you doing to enjoy Fall 2018?
