Ground Turkey Sweet Potato Poppers
May 15, 2017
A protein-filled snack, appetizer or meal. These poppers are made with organic ground turkey, sweet potato and green onions. With the addition of onion and garlic powder, these tasty poppers will disappear quickly. Add your favorite dipping sauce and serve cool. Great addition to your football party!

Ingredients
2 cups Grated Organic Sweet Potato (1 medium sweet potato)
2 tbsp Organic Coconut Flour
Directions
1Preheat oven to 400 F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. I recommend using FSC Certified Parchment Baking Paper by If You Care.
2Remove skin from sweet potato and grate. I used this large, kitchen grater, ideal for hard cheese and vegetables.
3Finely chop green onions.
4Mix vegetables with spices and grapeseed.
5Add ground turkey to mixture and mix well.
6Using a tablespoon, roll mixture into balls and place onto baking sheet about one inch apart. Lightly press down on balls to slightly flatten.
7Bake for 25 to 28 minutes flipping halfway through. Place under broiler for 1 to 2 minutes if you want your poppers to be more crisp.
8Let cool and serve with dipping sauce of your choice. My family enjoys a dairy free ranch.
