When planning our Italy adventure, we wondered where to stay in Rome that would keep us close to the city’s treasures while offering comfort and calm. We found our answer at Little Queen Pantheon, a boutique hotel just two minutes from the Pantheon.
Housed in a beautifully preserved 17th-century building, this elegant relais sits in the heart of the historic center—steps from Piazza Navona, Campo de’ Fiori, and Trevi Fountain. It became the perfect base for our romantic days (and nights) in Rome.

We booked in June 2024 for our March 2025 trip, but when ITA Airways shifted our flights 24 hours earlier, the staff graciously reworked both reservations—no added fees.
Our friends switched rooms after the first night (just across the hall), showing how personal and accommodating this small property really is.

The Deluxe Room Experience
Our Deluxe Room combined modern design with Italian character—marble floors, exposed beams, and designer touches. Amenities included air conditioning, a Smart TV with Netflix, a minibar, and a kettle with tea and coffee.
When we arrived, there was scaffolding covering the building—proof that even Rome’s most picturesque streets are always being renewed. We even had workers right outside our window during our first-day nap, but room-darkening curtains and shutters provided privacy. No sunrise views this time, but that’s travel: going with the flow and embracing Italy’s rhythm.
Breakfast & Communication
Breakfast is available on-site for € 12.50 per person. A day before arrival, Alexander messaged me via WhatsApp to ask if we’d like a gluten-free breakfast—since pastries must be ordered in advance. Their proactive communication made travel effortless and inclusive.
What to Know Before You Book
- Reception hours: Opens at 9 a.m. Our Boston flight landed at 7:15 a.m., so we booked an extra night to access our rooms early. Nicole coordinated perfectly—a staff member greeted us around 8:30 a.m. while setting up breakfast. Later that day, the receptionist collected passports and the € 6 per-person, per-day city tax.
- Airport transfer service: About 30 days before our stay, Little Queen Pantheon offered a private transfer from Fiumicino Airport. While many travelers take the train to save money, we chose the van for a relaxed, romantic start after an overnight flight. The ride cost € 85 cash (10 % more by card) for four passengers with luggage—worth every euro.

- Breakfast available: Optional; gluten-free by request.
- Quiet, independent atmosphere: Perfect for couples who prefer privacy to large-hotel bustle.
For Couples—Quiet Luxury Without the Price Tag
If you’re wondering where to stay in Rome for couples, this boutique hotel is a gem: modern, romantic, and central without being extravagant.

That said, Rome never sleeps—church bells, seagulls (yes, even at 2 a.m.), and cheerful voices drift upward. We wore earplugs (these from Amazon) and slept well; the city’s soundtrack became part of our story.
